My 2 Cents: OKC Spoiled By Magical Thunder Run

Posted: Updated:

Oklahoma Cityans, we're spoiled. I'm talking specifically about what's going on with the Thunder.

Even if you're not a big basketball fan, or even a sports fan, I would encourage you to embrace this OKLAHOMA CITY experience RIGHT NOW. What's occurring with the Thunder right now just doesn't happen.

A professional team none of us really thought we'd ever have is playing the best basketball in the world, AND add to that a player performing at a level seen only a few times in the entire history of the game.

Kevin Durant is becoming a legend, and it's happening in little old Oklahoma City.

Wednesday night OUR team dismantled the defending champions in front of an international television audience. And all of this without our All Star point guard. How good will they be when Russell Westbrook comes back?

Maybe you're saying, "But they're young. We've got several years more to see them play together."

I hope you're right, but there are no guarantees. If you can find a way to get to a game this season do it.

It's faint, hard to hear right now, but the clock is ticking on this magical sports ride our city is on. I'm not trying to be a downer, I'm just saying don't miss out on it.
