The Oklahoma women seemed to be gaining a bit of momentum after two Big 12 wins last week. However, the Sooners stumbled on the road Wednesday night, as Kansas State ended a 13-game losing streak to Oklahoma with an 86-78 win at Bramlage Coliseum.
Kansas State (9-11, 3-6 Big 12) made 11-of-22 3-point attempts to outduel Oklahoma (13-8, 4-4) and its 42-30 points in the paint advantage.
K-State point guard Leticia Romero nearly amassed a triple-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
Sooner center Nicole Griffin had a terrific game, scoring a career-high 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting. She also added a team-high seven rebounds.
Morgan Hook scored 21 and Aaryn Ellenberg had 16 in an off-shooting night where she was 1-for-10 from beyond the arc.
Ellenberg passed former Sooners LaNeishea Caufield and Danielle Robinson for fourth on Oklahoma's and 11th on the Big 12 Conference's career scoring lists.
The Sooners host Oklahoma State, 49-48 winners over TCU Wednesday, for Bedlam Saturday at 2 p.m.
