Shawnee Chase Suspect Identified

Jose Reyes, 23, was arrested for attempting to elude and booked in the Pottawatomie county Jail Wednesday night after surrendering to a high-speed chase near Shawnee. 

The chase started in Shawnee and ended three miles west of the Grand Casino after authorities employed stop sticks. Police cuffed Reyes after he handed his gun out the window and exited out of the passenger side of the vehicle.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office assisted in the standoff and arrest.
