BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -

Snow plows in Bartlesville are working all day to keep roads clear after 5 inches of snow fell in areas of the city.

"Just because you got four-wheel drive doesn't mean you need to get out of your house," snow plow operator Matthew Rowe said.

City snow plow crews could be out as late as daybreak keeping main roads clear for Monday.

Side streets show how much snow fell in Washington County.

Rowe spent part of Sunday afternoon cleaning a parking lot with his tractor.

"Bone-chilling," he said. "It's cold. If I didn't have to be out here I wouldn't."

Now that the snowfall is over, sub-zero temperatures are settling in with high winds -- creating a dangerous combination for anyone who goes outside.

"It's just... cold and a little bit of a mess," he said.

Clemens is clearing a path for the first shift to arrive on Monday at the place where he works.

This is nothing new for Clemens; he's worked in a freezer before.

"This isn't bad at all, a little cold, but it's all good," he said. "Bundle up just stay inside when you can be safe."

With the wind chills expected in the teens, is important to keep your head covered because you can lose a lot of your body heat, cover your face to keep the extreme air out of your lungs. Also, it's important to cover as much skin as possible, because it only takes minutes for frostbite to take over exposed skin in temperatures this severe.
