Cheese Straws

Ingredients:

1 package frozen puff pastry, thawed

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated*

3 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped

1 stick unsalted butter. melted*

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 egg, beaten*

1 tsp water

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. On a well floured counter top roll out the puff pastry so that it is 10-12 inches wide. Brush the puff pastry with egg wash. Sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese, rosemary, salt and pepper over the top. Using your rolling pin, lightly roll over the top of the cheese and rosemary. This help press the ingredients into the dough. Cut into 12 even strip and then give them a twist and place onto baking sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until puffed up and browned. Flip the straws and return to oven to bake for a few more minutes. Be careful not to let them burn. Remove from oven and allow to cool. To serve: place in a mason jar and tie with a ribbon
