Oklahoma City police are asking for witnesses to a deadly accident in northwest OKC to come forward.

It happened on Friday, December 20 at approximately 6:40 p.m., when police responded to a serious accident on a bridge in the 8500 block of N.W. 39th (HWY 66) near Lake Overholser.

Police say it appears that numerous vehicles lost control as the bridge iced over, which led to a multi-vehicle crash. One person was killed in the crash. Investigators believe that because of the inclement weather, many people who may have witnessed the crash were not interviewed by police.

This case is still under investigation, and detectives would like to interview anyone who witnessed the fatal crash. Anyone with information regarding this case should call the Oklahoma City Police Traffic Unit at 405.297.1145.
