OKLAHOMA CITY -

Fewer than 2,000 people are still without power Monday afternoon following a weekend winter storm that dumped freezing rain and ice on the state.

Oklahoma Gas and Electric reported about 1,000 outages Monday afternoon. Public Service Company of Oklahoma reported about 620 outages with less than 500 of those in the Tulsa metro area.

PSO says the storm caused a total of 62,500 customer outages from Friday through Monday. Some customers experienced multiple outages.

The two utilities had an estimated more than 30,000 outages at the height of the storm that began Friday.
