With OU and OSU preparing for upcoming bowl games, a third Oklahoma football team is also getting ready for a big game. They are members of Oklahoma's entry into what's called the FBU National Championship tournament.

The team is comprised of sixth graders who live in towns all over the state. Last weekend in Wichita, Kansas, the 13-and-under team from Oklahoma thrashed teams from Missouri and Kansas to advance to the semifinals this coming weekend.

Oklahoma will square off first with a team from north Texas. Oklahoma's team is coached by former OU star defensive back Mike Woods.

The quarterback is 13-year-old J.D. Head from Edmond.

"It's fun especially when you kick their butts," he said. "They don't think those Oklahoma boys can do anything, but we did."

The championship game will be played the first weekend of January at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.
