Oklahoma center Gabe Ikard and Oklahoma State cornerback/kick returner Justin Gilbert have been named to the 2013 Walter Camp All-America team.

Oklahoma players have now been named to a First-Team All-America squad 154 times, including 34 times during the tenure of head coach Bob Stoops.

Already named the winner of the Wuerrfel Trophy and the Selmon Spirit Award, Ikard was named the Capital One Academic All-American of the Year, was a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete and was a consensus All-Big 12 First Team pick by both the coaches and the Associated Press.

Ikard has started 51 games in his career, including all 12 this season. Thanks in part to Ikard, the Oklahoma offense ranks second in the conference and 18th nationally with 235.8 rushing yards per game. The offensive line has also allowed just 14 sacks this year, a figure that ranks 17th in the country.

During Bob Stoops' tenure as head coach, Oklahoma has produced 34 All-Americans with 16 coming on offense, 16 on defense and two on special teams.

Ikard becomes the first sooner to be an All-American since wide receiver Ryan Broyles in 2011, the first Sooner offensive lineman to be an All-American since tackle Trent Williams in 2009 and the first OU center to be an All-American center since Vince Carter in 2004.

Gilbert becomes the 15th OSU player to earn Walter Camp All-America status and the first since offensive lineman Levy Adcock was named to the 2011 team. The Walter Camp All-America Team is the oldest All-America team in collegiate football.

Gilbert, a senior cornerback, has six interceptions this season, a mark that leads the Big 12 and ranks fifth nationally. He has two pick-sixes on the year, coming at Iowa State and at Texas. His 11 career interceptions rank him 14th among all active players and his 27 career pass break-ups are the most for any Cowboy.

Additionally, he has three non-offensive touchdowns this year, including a 31-yard interception return at Iowa State, a 100-yard kickoff return against Kansas and a 43-yard interception return at Texas. He has eight non-offensive touchdowns in his career. The kickoff return against Kansas earned him Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

A native of Huntsville, Texas, Gilbert leads all active players with six kickoff return touchdowns in his career. He is the Big 12 all-time leader in that category and is just one kickoff return touchdown shy of the NCAA career record of seven, held jointly by Clemson's C.J. Spiller (2006-09) and Houston's Tyron Carrier (2008-11). He also leads the Big 12 and ranks 17th nationally by averaging 26.6 yards per kickoff return.
