My 2 Cents: David Payne's Old School Christmas Decoration

I don't typically buy into conspiracy theories, but I think someone was trying to sabotage my Christmas decorating last weekend, and I have a sneaky suspicion about who it was.

Almost every other string of lights I put up on my house blew a fuse, and bulbs were going out left and right.

I'm a traditionalist, I'm still putting up ceramic painted lights, the old C9's.

I haven't warmed up to the LED lights.

David Payne has, and I'm wondering if he maybe wasn't somehow manipulating the amperage at my place out of his jealously over the gentle glow of the reds, whites and greens that look like gum drops on a gingerbread house.

Ok, that may be overstating the effect a bit, even my kids roll their eyes when I dangle that line in front of them.

And while David may be a high-tech sellout when it comes to his lights, he has been boasting recently about an old school decoration he's quite proud of.

So I asked him to send me a picture and now I'm the jealous one!

He's even got that sleigh and those reindeer in flight.

Are you kidding me, it's a molded plastic masterpiece!

If only he had some C9's, you could almost imagine the families in paneled station wagons cruising by to take a look.
