NORMAN, Oklahoma -

The game was over and decided, but the Oklahoma Sooners were still looking to shed a monkey that had been hanging on the Sooners' back for over four years.

Trey Slate got rid of the monkey for OU, scoring on a layup with 35 seconds remaining to push the Sooners over the 100-point mark for the first time since Jan. 5, 2009, when the Sooners defeated Maryland Eastern Shore, 100-64.

Slate's bucket was the final one for the Sooners, which routed Arkansas-Little Rock Friday afternoon, 101-81.

Five Oklahoma players scored in double figures for the Sooners, led by Cameron Clark's 22 points. Buddy Hield had 17 points while freshman Jordan Woodard had a career-high 16 points. Isaiah Cousins continued his impressive play of late, scoring 14 points, his third straight game with at least 14 points. Ryan Spangler had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Will Neighbour had 16 points to lead the Trojans in scoring. DeVonte Smith had 13 points while Josh Hagins and Leroy Isler had 12 and 11, respectively.

The Sooners were on fire in the first half, hitting 7-of-12 3-pointers and shooting 52.6 percent from the floor. OU scored 59 points and led by as many as 23.

Oklahoma is back in action Monday night, when they take on Mercer at home at 8 p.m.
