Police: Man Found Shot To Death In Southeast OKC

Posted: Updated:

The holiday weekend took a deadly turn following a shooting on the south side of Oklahoma City.

It happened Friday afternoon near SE 44th St. and Bryant Ave.

Police say they got the call, just before 2:30 p.m., of shots fired at a home on 47th St. That is when they found a man dead in the driveway.

Friends say it was a father about 32-years-old named Emmanuel, who was gunned down in front of his grandfather's house. Police say one other person was inside the home at the time multiple shots were fired.

Police say they're investigating this as a potential driveway shooting based on the evidence at the scene.

They say they don't have any suspects, they do have a vehicle description, but they aren't releasing that info at this time.

"He was a good person, a good hearted person. [He would do] anything in the world for you. [He was] filled with laughter, fun and joy," said friend of the family, Kaye Green.

"It's hard to see a young guy like that laying on the ground behind nonsense," said friend, Sparkle Jones.

Friends say Emmanuel leaves behind a 7-year-old son.
