OKLAHOMA CITY -

Thunder star Russell Westbrook hosted an early Thanksgiving meal for more than 500 people at the Oklahoma County Boys and Girls Club Tuesday night.

Westbrook's "Why Not" foundation and the United Way joined with "Adventures in Catering" to put on the event.

Westbrook himself is a product of the South Central Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club.

"Nothing but good influences you know kept me away from the streets, kept me inside with kids, and got me to learn different things," he said.
