OKLAHOMA CITY - Metro police continue to search for suspects after a deadly shooting this morning near Portland and S.W. 22nd Street. One man is dead as investigators search for new leads in the homicide.

Police say no arrests have been made and they have not named any suspects. Their investigation began around 7 a.m. Monday when they found a man dead inside a southwest Oklahoma City home.

"Just surprising that like knowing that sometimes it's quiet around here, and then you just find out that someone just died across from you," said neighbor Andres Rodriguez.

Rodriguez said a family lives there with young children and a big van the father would take the kids to school in. It has a "We Don't Dial 911" sign on the door.

"It was nice family, you know we used to see them while we were working on our roof, we saw their kids play outside and he was cutting his grass," Rodriguez said.

He said his family heard gunfire when they woke up and were stunned to see several police cars and yellow tape surround their neighborhood. Police said a man was found dead inside the home. Detectives spent the day combing through the crime scene.

Neighbors just want answers as to what happened.

"Where's the family, you know what happened to them?" said Rodriguez. "Were they involved or anything was this like some kind of setup where something happened to them?"

Police have not released the victim's name. This shooting marks the 72nd homicide for the city.
