Suspicious Item Found In SW OKC Deemed Safe

Police say a suspicious item found Thursday in southwest Oklahoma City is not an explosive device.

According to police, a citizen found a thermos in the yard. The thermos had wires attached to it, so the citizen took the suspicious item to the Santa Fe Police Station at S.W. 89th Street and Santa Fe.

Authorities checked out the thermos and found it to be safe.
