A dispute between an Oklahoma City woman and her baby's father turned violent when the woman pulled out a gun and pointed it at the child's head, police say.

On November 9, police were called to an auto repair shop in the 3700 block of N.W. 39th Street. Witnesses said 38-year-old Jennifer Campbell was at the scene with a gun and acting erratically.

The witnesses told police Campbell confronted her ex's new girlfriend and engaged in a physical fight with her. Campbell left the scene but returned. Witnesses said she flattened the tires on a pickup truck, and then pulled out a gun and pointed it at several people. According to the police report, Campbell then pointed the gun at her 2-year-old son's head and said she would kill the baby. After that threat, she returned to her car and drove away.

Witnesses called police, who launched a large search for Campbell. While police were looking for her, Campbell called her ex. He put the phone on speaker, and police heard Campbell threaten to hurt his new girlfriend, saying "I'm going to blow her [expletive] head off."

Police were able to track down Campbell and arrest her. They searched her car but did not find a gun.

Her son was released to his father. Campbell was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for assault with a dangerous weapon, and destroying private property.
