Police Investigate After Body Found Behind Edmond Church

EDMOND, Oklahoma -

Police are investigating after a body was found behind a church in Edmond Monday night.

According to Edmond police, a man's body was found at about 8:30 p.m. behind the St. Monica's Catholic Church, located at 2001 N. Western in Edmond.

Police say the man often walked his dogs in the area.

"When we got here, the deceased man's wife was out looking for him. He frequently walks his dogs in this area at night and he hadn't come home," Edmond Police Spokesperson Jenny Monroe said.

Police say they do not suspect foul play as the man appears to have died of natural causes.

Police have not identified the man at this time.
