A Cleveland County jury has found OU Professor Dwain Pellebon not guilty on all nine counts, six counts of lewd acts with children and three counts of sexual abuse.

The jury began deliberating just before 4 p.m.

It was back in Dec. 2011 that the Cleveland County district attorney's office levied charges of child sex abuse against Pellebon.

Police executed a search warrant on Pellebon's Norman home, and recovered his computer and camera equipment, a journal, and a cardboard box filled with pictures and papers including dates, names and ages of children.

They also searched his office at the OU College of Social Work. There they recovered two photo albums containing images of numerous children as well as boxes full of notes, children's drawings and letters.

Witnesses say Pellebon was active in the Phillipino community down in Norman and was a godfather to several children in their tightknit group. But during the trial, both Pellebon's wife and three of his children testified there was no way Pellebon was ever inappropriate with any of the children.

Even the parents of some of the alleged victims were hesitant witnesses for the state and did not feel Pellebon acted out of line with their children.
