A Norman woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Grady County Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the crash just before 3 p.m. on U.S. 62 and CS 2880 in Grady County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 1998 Ford driven by 18-year-old Heather Hickman of Norman was eastbound on U.S. 62 when it slowed to make a left turn onto a county street. It was then hit from behind by a 2005 Doge driven by 35-year-old Stephen Derby.

Derby's car was also eastbound on U.S. 62.

Another car going westbound on U.S. 62 was impacted and drove over some debris from the crash.

Hickman was pinned inside her vehicle for more than an hour before being freed by Friend firefighters. A passenger in her vehicle was pinned for about eight minutes.

Hickman was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive injuries. A passenger in Hickman's car suffered trunk internal injuries. He has been treated and released from the hospital.

No one else was injured.

Everyone involved in the collision was wearing seat belts.

Troopers say both Hickman's and Derby's condition at the time of the crash were normal. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
