My 2 Cents: Motorcycle Gang Attack In New York

Posted: Updated:

The video of the New York motorcycle gang swarming the SUV with a young family inside is disturbing enough, but now we find out three off-duty New York officers were riding with the group.

They are still investigating whether any of the officers stepped forward to help the driver once the motorcycle riders shattered his window, ripped the door open, pulled him out of the vehicle and severely beat him in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter.

If they didn't they need to be fired, and certainly reprimanded for riding with these crazies to begin with.

As for the driver of the Land Rover sharing any fault in this.

These motorcycle riders were reckless, dispatch had 200 complaints on them riding the between cars coming the other way, on sidewalks, and as the video show really crowding the SUV until one slowed down right in front of him until the vehicle hit him.

One other riders approached the SUV the guy got scared and took off, running over a couple of the bikes.

I don't blame him one bit.

I'm not anti-motorcycle in the least, in fact I love to ride and I'm licensed to ride, but if dozens of these guys surrounded my car and started squeezing in I'd be scared for my family too.

And the beating the father later took when he had to stop for traffic, proves that he had reason to afraid.
