Suspect In Custody After High-Speed Chase In OKC

One person is in custody after leading Oklahoma City Police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 40, Sunday afternoon.

The chase began after a simple traffic stop at I-40 and Meridian Ave. During the pursuit, police observed the driver ditching a substance from the vehicle, that they believe is methamphetamine.

The chase reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour before ending with the suspect's vehicle crashing near I-40 and Reno Ave.

The driver was taken into custody. That person's identity has not been released.
