MetroShoe Warehouse Donates New Shoes To OK Students In Need

OKLAHOMA CITY -

MetroShoe Warehouse is helping children in need by donating new shoes to students at several Oklahoma City elementary schools.

The company will donate new shoes to students at Wheeler Elementary School, located at 501 S.E. 25th Street, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 10.

Wheeler Elementary has more than 500 students. Officials say many of those students live below the poverty line.

Wheeler Elementary is one of five OKCPS sites that will receive new shoes from MetroShoe Warehouse.

Bodine Elementary, Gatewood Elementary, Shidler Elementary, Stand Watie Elementary schools have all received shoes for their students.

In all, more than 2,500 pairs of shoes will be given to students in need, according to officials.
