Suspect Sought In Robbery At Arvest Bank In NW OKC

Investigators are on the lookout for another bank robbery suspect, this one taking place Saturday afternoon at the Arvest Bank in the Wal-Mart located at 7800 NW Expressway in Oklahoma City.

It happened around 12:10 p.m. According to a report by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the suspect approached a teller with a note demanding cash. The teller complied, and handed the suspect a tan plastic grocery bag with and undisclosed amount of money. He fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5'7" and 5'10" tall and weighing approximately 190 lbs. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white emblems on the sleeves and sunglasses.  

The robbery is being investigated by the Oklahoma City Police Department and the FBI. Anyone with information can call Oklahoma's FBI Branch office at (405) 290-7770. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.

Authorities are also investigating the attempted robbery of an Arvest bank in Norman that took place on Friday afternoon. In that robbery, a female suspect also approached a teller with a note demanding money. That woman, however, left the bank on foot without receiving any cash.

The suspect in that robbery is described as a woman in her late 20s or early 30s, between 5' 8" and 5' 10" tall, and weighing between 200 and 240 lbs. She was wearing a ball cap, dark sunglasses and a gray OU hoodie.

Authorities believe the woman may also be responsible for the robbery of Bison Federal Credit Union in Shawnee, which happened on September 9.

According to an agent with the FBI, although the two robberies are very similar, investigators do not believe they are related in any way.
