A local law enforcement group says they want an audience with the judge who'll preside in the manslaughter trial of a Del City Police Captain.
Randy Harrison is accused of shooting and killing a fleeing suspect who had his back to him during a chase 18 months ago. Harrison shot and killed 18-year-old Dane Scott Jr. shortly after police say Harrison had taken a firearm from the suspect.
Scott had led police on a chase earlier that ended when the car he was driving ran into an 18-wheeler on SE 15th St. and I-35.

James Bowen of the Oklahoma Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors says Harrison should not have been charged.
"If what he did was wrong, then what we have been teaching is wrong," he said. "It's not constitutionally unreasonable for police officers to shoot a violent fleeing felon if certain conditions are met."
Oklahoma County Prosecutors charged Harrison with First-Degree Manslaughter last April. He's scheduled to go to trial in November.
