Two Hurt After Rollover Crash On I-40, East Of I-240 Split

Posted: Updated:

Emergency crews are responding to a rollover accident on the eastbound side of Interstate 40, just east of the I-240 split, in southeast Oklahoma City, Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the center median of the interstate, just west of the Choctaw Rd. Exit.

First responders say two people were injured in the crash, but say their injuries are not life-threatening.

The crash has caused traffic on eastbound I-40 to be backed up for approximately three miles. It has also congested traffic on I-240, merging into eastbound I-40, for two miles.

EMSA has been called to the scene, but a responding ambulance broke down while en route.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
