OKLAHOMA CITY -

An OU grad who plans to enroll in Law School this Fall has taken aim at the Oklahoma City apartment complex where he lives.

Brent Corley has lived in Summit Ridge Apartments for the past eight months. He pays $722 a month for a three-bedroom apartment, where he, a roommate and his 5-year-old son lives. Corley says neither his air conditioning unit, nor the refrigerator in his apartment has worked since he moved in.

Corley says he's notified apartment managers countless times about those problems, but they have done nothing but blow him off. So he contacted the city earlier this week, and a city spokesperson tells me they're looking into it.

Corley also contacted News 9. We went by his apartment Thursday afternoon and it was 85 degrees inside. His A/C clearly doesn't work, and is a tangled mess. His refrigerator doesn't work either.

"These guys are just corporate slum lords from California," he said. "They don't care about us. We're just a rent check to them."

Because the City is looking into his situation, News 9 actually bumped into new Summit Ridge Manager Kristina Johnson at Corley's apartment. She says Corley is lying, and says whenever he has filled out work orders, they've followed up with efforts to fix the problems. Even though it's clear they haven't fixed the problems.

"There's a process for everything. Every apartment complex has A/C issues," she said. "I mean it's summer. They're going to give out."
