OKLAHOMA CITY -

Our Oklahoma City Thunder is giving back to the community. It's teaming up with Homeland to help a metro family.

Reggie Jackson shopped with Theresa Contreras on Monday. Contreras is raising her four young grandchildren following the sudden passing of their mother.

Jackson says despite a language barrier, he knows how much this means for the family.

"It was fun just being around them getting to see the joy in the kid's faces. Running around like a kid in a candy store just picking up what they want for home, so it was a fun experience," Jackson said.

This is the fourth Homeland shopping event for the Thunder this season and the fourth year for the program.
