Three OU Football Players Leave Team

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Three Oklahoma football players have been removed from the team.

An OU official confirms defensive tackles Marquis Anderson and Damon Williams, along with cornerback Gary Simon have been removed from the team for undisclosed reasons.

Williams, a redshirt junior this upcoming season, appeared in one game in 2012 and made two tackles. Simon was a true freshman this past season and appeared in three games, making two tackles. Anderson, a redshirt freshman from Cibolo, Texas made five tackles in four games in 2012, including two tackles for loss and one sack.
