STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

Oklahoma State's 2013 women's tennis recruiting class has been ranked as the fifth best in the country by Tennis Recruiting Network.

OSU's top five ranking is the team's second in the last three years. In the Big 12, Texas Tech earned the No. 15 ranking, and Baylor came in at 25th. With the No. 5 ranking, Oklahoma State boasts the highest ranked recruiting class of the three Big 12 teams to make Tennis Recruiting Network's list. North Carolina tops the list, with Northwestern and Stanford coming in second and third, respectively.

Oklahoma State's class is made up of three players that will join the Cowgirl Tennis team for the 2013-2014 season. Miyu Kato of Kyoto, Japan, along with Megan and Morgan McCray of Oceanside, Calif., are set to join the Cowgirl program.

Kato has seen much success in her junior career, having been ranked as high as No. 28 in the ITF Junior World rankings. She was a doubles finalist in 2011 at the Australian Open Junior Championship. In August of 2012, Kato won the singles championship at the Japanese Junior Championships.

Megan McCray is the third blue chip recruit to sign with the Cowgirls in the past three years, and is currently ranked as the No. 13 recruit in the 2013 class according to the Tennis Recruiting Network. McCray won two national open events in 2012 and won eight matches at the 2012 USTA National Championships.

Morgan McCray will join the Cowgirls after a successful career as well. She is currently No. 30 in California and recently won the Barnes Tennis Center Women's Open Event in October of 2012. Along with her twin Megan, the duo has won numerous doubles titles and is looking forward to continuing to train together as members of the Cowgirl tennis program.

"I am proud that these girls have decided to become Cowgirls next fall," Cowgirl tennis coach Chris Young said. "It is also nice for them to be recognized as one of the best classes in the country, an honor I know they will work hard to solidify during their careers. Our program has a lot of momentum, and a future that I am excited about."
