Police in The Village are hoping for a break in the case of a young pregnant woman who was shot and killed on Friday.

Police are still looking for the person or persons responsible. The Village Deputy Chief released the only 911 call they received on this case. And at first, everyone thought they were dealing with a car accident, not a murder.

When officers arrived to the scene at Sunnymeade Place and Plymouth Lane, they found 22-year-old Amber Dawn Stokke dead inside the car. She had been shot multiple times. She was also six months pregnant.

Police say Stokke's car hit the curb, plowed through a yard, and slammed into a fence, just a couple blocks from where she lived with her father.

Police are currently tracking down friends and witnesses, and have already interviewed a number of people. They are also waiting for forensic evidence that has been taken to the OSBI for testing.

The Deputy Chief told News 9 they do know at least one person saw what happened, Stokke's friend who was inside the car when she was shot. However, no arrests have been made yet.

Police plan to file two murder charges against the person responsible. One for Stokke, and one for her unborn child.

Their funeral is set for Wednesday afternoon.

A memorial fund has been set up at Bank of Oklahoma for the Stokke family.
