Accumulations are expected to be modest but a winter weather advisory is posted for areas that include central and northeast Oklahoma.

The National Weather Service said Saturday that wintery precipitation was forecast to build Saturday night, particularly in the state's northeast where more moisture will be available.

Forecasters say snow and sleet are likely before 9 p.m. in the northeast, followed by a chance of snow between 9 p.m. and midnight.

A cold front swept into the state Saturday and is forecast to drop temperatures into the 20s Saturday night.

Officials cautioned that roads are likely to become slick in places, particularly bridges and overpasses.
