Fire Crews Battle Blaze At Midwest City Home

Posted: Updated:
MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

Crews responded to the scene of a house fire in Midwest City just after 2 p.m. on Friday.

Firefighters were called to the home, located in the 1600 block of Melody Dr. near SE 15th and Douglas Blvd., just south of Harvest Life school.

When crews arrived on scene the home was engulfed in flame and the roof had collapsed.

No people were injured in the fire, but two small dogs did die in the home. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control, but the home appears to be a total loss.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the blaze. They are now focusing their attention on a washing machine inside a converted garage.
