An employee
of a Boston area nonprofit decided to take a "rebellious" picture on
a recent business trip to Washington.
Now she's
been suspended for posting the pic on her Facebook page; she's flipping her
middle finger and pretending to scream at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington
National Cemetery. I think she should be fired.
Robert from
Bethany writes: "People died for her to be able to enjoy her freedom of
speech. I would think that she actually makes some of the VETs happy for their
sacrifice."
I wouldn't
be so sure about that Robert. In fact, David from Noble writes: "As a
Marine Corps vet and knowing 2 of the greatest men I have ever known being laid
to rest there, this woman angers me beyond words."
And David
from Blanchard adds: "Nobody has the right to disrespect the people who
serve or served in the military---NOBODY!!!"
Zach
writes: "I believe in free speech, but show respect to those that gave
their lives for that freedom!"
Chris in
Norman says it wasn't at all "cool": "The ignorance there is
overwhelming. I am 14 years old and I am anything but impressed."
Another
viewer asks: "What does Facebook have to do with work? I do not understand
why you would get suspended/fired for something not work related."
Ann in Del
City says: "I don't think firing her is enough, I think she should have to
do some type of service to our wounded warriors and perhaps gain a little
humility."
Finally, Kelly in Norman writes: "Unfortunately you can't fix
stupid, but they can make stupid look for another job."
I'm Kelly
Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
