Tecumseh Police arrested a man accused of ordering child porn online from a Canada based company after discovering hundreds of images during a search of the suspect's home.

Police say Harry Hopper Jr. cooperated with the investigation and told officers he purchased the child porn online, but said his fantasies were private and he never acted on his desires.

Outside of Hopper's home is a clear view of a playground and investigators say they found pictures of the playground in his collection.

News 9 stopped by Hopper's house in Tecumseh, located directly across from the Elementary School, where Hopper's mother remarked about the allegation.

"I they have already said it. All they‘ve done it all and they've already made up their minds."

Federal agents opened an investigation after the US Postal Service Inspector intercepted a package believe to be child pornography. While assisting the federal agents, Tecumseh Police say they uncovered letters written by Hopper detailing his fantasies with young children.

During a search of the home, investigators also reported finding more than 100 pornographic images, DVDs, and drawings of boys as young as 10 years of age.

"I looked through several of the images myself and I did not recognize anyone from Tecumseh," said assistant police chief, J.R. Kidney.

Investigators say it's unclear how long Hopper had allegedly been collecting the child porn. Police say Hopper admitted to working with troubled teens about 15 years ago with a youth crisis outreach program, but say at this point they have not collected any evidence to indicate he did anything inappropriate while in that role.

Kidney says both the city and federal investigations are ongoing.

"All of the evidence has been seized by the US Postal Inspector and they will be processing that evidence," Kidney said.

Hopper is due back in court next week
