OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma Treasurer's office says it handed out more than $440,000 in unclaimed cash to Oklahomans.

Nearly 500 people at the Tulsa State Fair took home $250,000 of that unclaimed cash this year.

Oklahoma Treasurer Ken Miller says that's how much money was found for people who visited the treasurer's booth at the fair and conducted searches through the office's unclaimed property database.

Treasurer employees discovered more than $259,000 in unclaimed property after workers conducted more than 3,350 database searches at this year's fair. The largest find was $32,000 from the sale of stock for a man in Grove.
