Ingredients:

4 cups sugar

3/4 cup Karo Light Corn Syrup

1 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 egg whites

4 teaspoons vanilla

2 teaspoons powdered sugar

4 cups pecans, chopped

Instruction:

In a saucepan, mix sugar, Karo light corn syrup, water and salt. Slowly bring to a boil. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook to 282 degrees F (on candy thermometer). Meanwhile, beat egg whites until very stiff. Gradually pour in hot syrup with egg whites, beating constantly. Beat until candy begins to hold shape. Beat in vanilla and powdered sugar. Add nuts. Drop a teaspoon of mixture onto waxed paper and let stand until firm. Store in airtight container.
