SkyNews 9 captured the scene in northwest Oklahoma City where police say it appears a woman set herself on fire.
OKLAHOMA CITY -
Oklahoma City Police say it appears a fire in N.W. Oklahoma City was started when a woman set herself on fire.
The woman was taken to the hospital with burns covering 75% of her body.
The call first came in Monday afternoon that a woman was on fire on her second story balcony at Forrest Creek Apartments on N.W. 122nd Street near Rockwell Avenue.
"It was gruesome," says Joshua Gonzales who couldn't tell if the victim was a man or woman as she was taken away by paramedics because the burns were so bad.
News 9 has been told the victim is a woman in her fifties. She is at the hospital in critical condition.
No other apartment units were damaged by the fire.
