McLOUD, Oklahoma -

A neighborhood in McLoud is on edge after an officer-involved shooting and manhunt Sunday night.

It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday along S.E. 29th Street near Fishmarket Road. The Pottawatomie County District Attorney's office continues its investigation into the situation, but investigators aren't saying much about what led to the officer firing his weapon.

Police say the incident stemmed from some type of confrontation at a house in McLoud. At one point, an officer fired his gun.

Witnesses who saw the whole thing happened say they heard at least two shots. Luckily, nobody was hit.

Witnesses also said they saw officers arrest one suspect immediately, but another took off running. They tracked down that second suspect about 45 minutes later.

Neighbors told News 9 a man and his son both live at the house where the shooting happened.

"They were just like, basically looking to get into the house, they were kind of set up on the outside looking in. There were three of the police officers and like I said, they got one of them apprehended," Zach Pattillo said.

News 9 spoke with District Attorney Richard Smotherman who said one suspect is still being questioned. He says it is still too early to tell what, if any charges could be filed.

Neighbors say there have been problems at the home before, but they aren't sure why police showed up this time.
