Cowgirls Ranked No. 5 In Preseason Equestrian Poll

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

The defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma State Cowgirl equestrian team will open its season next week ranked No. 5 in the Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll.

Oklahoma State will begin competition with back-to-back road meets at No. 3 Auburn and No. 4 South Carolina.

Georgia and Texas A&M will start the season tied at No. 1 in the preseason poll.

Fellow Big 12 members Baylor (No. 6), Kansas State (No. 7) and TCU (No. 8) are also included in the preseason poll.

The poll will be released bi-monthly with the next announcement scheduled for Oct. 3.
