The RedHawks used a pair of five-run innings to pound the Round Rock Express 11-5 Friday night.

Mike Hessman hit a two-run homer and Carlos Corporan drove in three runs to lead OKC.

This game was over pretty quickly with OKC scoring five in the first inning. Their other five-spot came in the fourth and made it 11-1.

Rudy Owens earned the win for Oklahoma City, pitching six innings allowing just one earned run.

Attendance was nearly 10,000 Friday night, showing the playoff race has grabbed the attention of the OKC community. With Albuquerque winning Friday, the RedHawks will only have three games remaining to pass the Isotopes and make the playoffs. They will have to win at least two more games than Albuquerque among the final three in order to make it.

The series continues Saturday night in Bricktown.
