My 2 Cents: Mayor Mia Love's Speech At GOP Convention

It's always interesting to see if a new star rises out of the political conventions.

Four years ago I wrote how Michelle Obama stole the night at the Democratic National Convention with a terrific speech, tonight another woman made quite a splash, and I doubt you've ever heard of her, I hadn't.

Her name is Mia Love, the 36-year-old Mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, and a candidate for Congress.

Her town has fewer than 20,000 people, but she looked completely at home tonight speaking to a national television audience.

Mayor Love spoke for only four minutes, but she brought the crowd to their feet several times, most noticeably when she went on the attack.

Mayor Mia Love, a name, I predict, you'll be hearing more of in the future.
