About 1,600 Oklahoma residents are expected to show out for a free health clinic at the Oklahoma Expo Hall at the state fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday.

Remote Area Medical is hosting the event on Aug. 25 and 26. Numbers will be handed out starting at 3 a.m. and doors open at 6 a.m. on both days.

Over 900 dental, vision, medical and community volunteers will be on hand to help out. The event will provide dental, vision and limited medical care on a first come, first serve basis.

"A lot of people are working really hard. Our volunteers are key. It's turned out really well," said RAM Oklahoma coordinator Tres Savage. "[This event] is for anybody, first come first serve, no income qualifications."

Some of the services being provided include dental cleanings, fillings or extractions, eye exams and a free pair of glasses made on-site, women's health services, behavioral health counseling, and more.

RAM's goal is to serve as many patients as they can and provide information for patients to continue their care locally. The event ends Sunday afternoon.
