OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is now helping the Spencer Police Department search for a killer who gunned down a man early Saturday morning at a bar near N.E. 23rd Street and Spencer Road.

Deputies say a fight began between two women around 3:30 a.m. inside Shaker's Sports Bar. Witnesses told investigators the fight escalated until up to 30 people were fighting with each other inside the club.

The shooter then walked into the bar, pulled out a handgun, and fired several rounds. People began running outside to escape the gunfire, but the gunman continued shooting in the parking lot, hitting several vehicles with bullets.

A 24-year-old man was hit during the shooting. Police say he tried to drive away, but crashed his car about half a block away from the bar. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police will not release the victim's name until his family has been notified.

Another person was also shot, but sustained only minor injuries.

Police have not released any information about a possible suspect. Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to contact the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office at (405) 713-1085.
