Brad Snyder hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to propel the Oklahoma City RedHawks to a 6-3 win over the Iowa Cubs Wednesday night.

Snyder's home run came right after Jimmy Paredes hit an RBI triple that scored J.B. Shuck from first base. The two-run blast gave the RedHawks a 4-3 lead.

Brian Sanches picked up the win for OKC, while Blake Parker took the loss. Jose Valdez worked the ninth for his 17th save of the year.

OKC managed to scratch out a run in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Matt Dominguez, but that's all the scoring that would take place until the seventh inning.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Iowa's Dave Sappelt tripled to score Adrian Cardenas and Blake Lalli. After an intentional walk to Mark Hamburger, Brian Esposito singled to score Sappelt, giving Iowa a 3-1 lead, and setting the stage for Snyder's heroics in the top of the eighth.

OKC added two insurance runs in the top of the ninth for the final margin.

The two teams are back in action Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.
