DEL CITY, Oklahoma -

Del City police say they've arrested a suspect who reportedly confessed to setting fire to the house he was renting.

Firefighters were called out Monday morning to a house at 3125 Del Rancho. They rescued a pet from the single-story home and quickly put out the fire. The fire damage was contained to several bedrooms, but there was smoke damage throughout the residence.

Fire investigators say 50-year-old John Quentin Pongratz, a man living in the house, confessed to setting several fires in the house. He was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on suspicion of second-degree arson.

No one was hurt in the fire.
