Truck Wrecks On U.S. 169 After Driver Throws Punches At Passenger

A fight between a couple came to a head when the male driver threw punches and lost control of his pickup on U.S. Highway 169 early Friday, authorities said.

The crash happened about 2 a.m. near the 61st Street exit.

The conflict began at a bar, before the couple went home and then left to go driving again, Tulsa police said.

The truck's entire right side scraped along one of the retainer walls on the highway, and the vehicle lost both right tires. It spun around and came to a stop in a grassy area.

The driver left the scene before authorities arrived, and the woman stayed to be checked out by EMSA and was released.

The couple reportedly just purchased the 2007 pickup a month ago.
