Norman Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By Car

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A 75-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition after she was struck by a vehicle driven by a family member Friday morning.

According to Norman police, crews responded to the crash at about 11 a.m. Friday, at a home located in the 2800 block of Dalewood Terrace.

Officers say the victim was in the driveway of the home, when she was struck by a vehicle driven by a family member. Police say the driver of the vehicle was backing out of the driveway at that time.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle was released and was not injured.
