Friends and family crowded into a courtroom in Purcell Tuesday for the plea and sentencing of a man charged with five counts of first-degree manslaughter following a deadly DUI accident.

McClain County prosecutors said Jordan Powell was drunk in September 2010 when he crashed his pickup truck on U.S. 77, about three miles south of Purcell. Five people riding in the vehicle with him were killed.
