OKLAHOMA CITY -

Got bugs? There's an app for that. When you walk outdoors lately, you aren't just consumed with heat, but by bug bites.

You may want to use the traditional methods; Deet and Off or other repellants. But if you want to avoid the bloodsuckers, there is a free app that doesn't require spray.

The mosquito repellant app emits an HD sonic sound. Its creators claim it mimics predators.

They say it's undetectable to the human ear, but since you clearly hear it, you may want to invest a few bucks to be outdoors.

"It would only be a repellent so if the mosquitoes are around you hopefully it will repel mosquitoes away from you," said Reed Savage of Swat Mosquito Mist System.

If you want the bugs gone for about $90 you can fog or spray. However if you want guarantee, a permanent misting system will do the trick.

"A lot of people compare it to a sprinkler system we typically tell people what we are trying to kill is flying insects," Savage said.

The misting system doesn't kill plants and reduces mosquitoes near your home by 90 percent.
