OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City man is arrested for impersonating a police officer.

Police took Mark Smith, 57, into custody on May 31 on complaints of impersonating a police officer. Police said he also had a warrant out against him for robbery.

According to a police report, Smith was only wearing bike shorts when he offered a man inside an adult bookstore a pornographic magazine. The victim said when he took it Smith showed him a badge and told him he was under arrest for prostitution unless he paid him off.

The victim told police since he didn't have cash on him, so Smith followed him to a Wal-mart where he instructed the victim to buy him $250 worth of gift cards. Smith then took the cards and left.

The victim called 911 and through a license plate number, police tracked down Smith.
